Ru Cha forest is about 15 kilometers from the center of Hue City, you can reach there by riding a motorbike along National Route 49, turning left through Thao Long Dam. The road to Ru Cha, which was built by local people, is quite bumpy. On both sides, intertwining branches of Cha trees form a shade over the path. This place is called Ru Cha because it is largely surrounded by naturally growing Cha trees. There are many trees with a lifespan of dozens of years that have big but inedible fruits. This is the only remaining primeval mangrove forest on Tam Giang Lagoon. Coming to Ru Cha mangrove forest, what attracts tourists the most is the greenery of trees which vastly covers the lagoon surface with an area of about 5 hectares. This place is considered to be the bulwark of the mainland on Thuan An Beach. From above, the forest looks peaceful and poetic. People come to Ru Cha for different purposes. Many people, and groups of students come here to study the primeval world. Many tourists choose Ru Cha as a place to relieve stress and have a break from the hustle and bustle of life. Ru Cha mangrove forest is not only a place to visit, and take photos, but also a nice place to gather with friends for a picnic. Every corner of the forest offers stunning photos. When autumn comes, leaves turn yellow, then from yellow to red, and beautifully intertwine with each other. Besides tourism value, Ru Cha forest is also home to many aquatic species in the lagoon.
