About Elephant Springs

Elephant Springs is located approximately 60km far away from Hue City to the South. This tourist attraction has many waterfalls flowing from green primary forests. Especially, Elephant Springs has its name due to an elephant stone. There is a big boulder with the shape like a kneeling elephant and his trunk drawing water under the foot of the waterfall. The lake in this tourist destination is also called Dam Voi (Lake of Elephant). This lake is openly situated in the middle of the beautiful natural setting between two fantastic waterfalls. The water is cool and clear enough to see the rocky stream bed. Apparently, Elephant Springs is an ideal summer place for visitors. HOW TO GET THERE Elephant Springs is located at the km 879 on the way from Danang to Hue. If you begin from Danang City, and go for 50km, you will see the km 879, then turn left, and continue going for 3km. Finally, stop at Loc Tien Commune, Phu Loc District (It is very important to remember exact number of km because if you do not take a careful notice, it is difficult to find out the way leading to Elephant Springs). From Hue City, go across Phu Tuong Pass, and keep moving next for 2.5 km, then you will see the km 879, turn right, and continue going on a soil road for another 7km. Finally, it is Elephant Springs straight ahead of you.
