More than 80 artifacts associated with the daily life and court rituals of the Nguyen dynasty are being displayed at the exhibition “Dragon - Phoenix on the Nguyen dynasty’s treasures” at the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities. There are many precious artifacts from Nguyen Dynasty demonstrated here. For instance, the King's crown, made of gold, gemstones and corals, worn by the King in important royal court ceremonies such as the coronation ceremony, the King's birthday celebration, etc. Dragon statues made of gold and wood to decorate the King's room. Dated from the 2ndregnal year of Thieu Tri (1842). Cauldrons were used in royal ceremonies. Golden book, dated from the 5th regnal year of Thieu Tri (1845). Inscribed in the book are the preface and the rules laid out by King Thieu Tri on how to name the King’s descendants according to De He Thi (a poem by King Minh Mang which regulates the naming of the subsequent Kings) and the Phien He Thi (a poem by King Minh Mang which regulates the naming of siblings and descendants of the King). Tea set made of gold and jade dated from the reign of Khai Dinh (1916-1925). The exhibition displays more than 80 artifacts, divided into 4 groups: symbols of power, worship and ritual objects, calligraphy supplies and daily life objects.
